Expedition Class - Antarctica Cruises
Built in 1975, this ship underwent a $13 million conversion in 1998 to transform it into the handsome well-appointed A-1 Ice Class Antarctic expedition ship it is today. The 330-ft Clipper Adventurer accommodates 122 passengers on Antarctica adventure tours and cruises at twelve knots in open water.

This Antarctic ship has a lounge that accommodates all guests for presentations. Two decks provide exterior access, with outside seating. The library has a collection of nautical books and board games. The ship also has a gift shop and an exercise room equipped with elliptical trainer, hand weights, stationary bike, and floor mats.

The Clipper Adventurer offers fine cuisine during its Antarctica travel in a window-lined dining room with unreserved seating. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style or table service and dinner is by table service. The main course menu changes daily. Cakes are served each afternoon. There are two bars and a 24-hour beverage station, serving coffee, tea, fruit juices and water.

On its Antarctica cruises, the Clipper Adventurer employs a staff and crew of seventy-two including a licensed doctor and massage therapist. The adventure ship is equipped with Zodiacs boats for water excursions and landings throughout the Antarctic terrain. Ship-to-shore communications is via satellite, with email and wireless Internet access.
