This 112-passenger vessel is a polar-class icebreaker, combining power and technology with comfortable accommodations for Antarctica trips and travel. Originally designed for the waters of northern Siberia, the 402-ft Kapitan Khlebnikov is one of a few vessels of its kind in the world. It cruises at 15 knots in open water.

Cabin Details

The Kapitan Khlenikov has fifty-four first-class outside cabins and suites, all with private bathroom facilities, large windows, a desk and large closets, with hair dryer and robes provided. Twin cabins contain one fixed berth and a convertible sofa bed. Triple cabins are identical to twins, with a third pull-down berth. All suites have a sitting room with separate bedroom and TV/DVD player.
Triple: 1 lower berth, 1 sofa bed, 1 pull-down upper berth, private facilities, opening window, desk and chair

Amenities

Among its amenities, the Antarctic cruise ship offers a heated indoor swimming pool, exercise room and sauna, a theater-style auditorium for Antarctic expedition team presentations, a library stocked with books and videos and a gift shop. The lounge and well-stocked bar staffed by a professional bartender, are open late afternoon and evening. An elevator is provided for passengers for optimal accessibility on their Antarctica vacations.

Dining

The ship's dining room has unreserved seating. Here a hearty breakfast is served with a good choice of hot and cold items, and both lunch and dinner menus change daily. A 24-hour self-service station for coffee, tea and hot chocolate is also available.
