The 290-ft Clelia II has been completely refurbished into an all-suite, luxury cruise ship and was re-launched for Antarctica tours and Arctic cruise expeditions in 2009. This private, yacht-like ship with ice-strengthened hull accommodates 100 guests. The Clelia II complies with the latest international and U.S. Coast Guard safety regulations and is outfitted with the most current navigational and communications technology as well as retractable fin stabilizers for smooth Antarctic sailing.

The ship's fifty air-conditioned suites all have Antarctic ocean views and measure 215 sq ft or more. Each has a sitting area or separate living room, twin or queen beds, a marble-appointed bathroom with fine toiletries, teak floors and spacious closets. The cabins are equipped with satellite TV, DVD/CD player, telephone and mini-refrigerator. Guests on Antarctica tours are pampered in their cabins with plush terry robes and slippers, fresh flowers and a fruit basket.

The Clelia II's limited guest capacity, excellent design and craftsmanship give the ship a spacious and intimate ambience for Antarctica travel. With a décor of rich fabrics, handsome wood, polished brass, antiquities and fine art, the luxury cruise ship’s public spaces are warm and inviting. The ship has two lounges with audiovisual facilities, two sundecks, a Jacuzzi and swimming platform, a library with Internet access, a state-of-the-art gym/spa, a beauty salon and boutique. An elevator serves all passenger decks.

The Clelia II is staffed by a sixty-member team of European officers and crew for Antarctic travel. Room service is available at anytime. Medical services are handled by the onboard clinic. The cruise ship has a fleet of Zodiacs for Antarctic shore excursions.
