Day 1 ARRIVE RIO DE JANEIRO
On your arrival, you will be picked up at Rio's Galeão airport and taken to your conveniently located beachfront hotel in the seaside neighborhood of Copacabana, birthplace of the bossa nova. The rest of the day will be yours to mingle with the sunbathers and other beautiful people who congregate on this famous beach and stroll along its boardwalk. In the evening, you'll be free to sample the vibrant night scene in the glitzy Zona Sul's Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon neighborhoods or elsewhere in the city. Overnight at your comfortable Rio hotel.

Day 2 CITY TOUR
Today you'll get acquainted with the major sights of the city on a guided tour of Rio's most important buildings and neighborhoods including the historic downtown and various view locations. The tour culminates atop Sugar Loaf Mountain in the late afternoon, with stunning views looking back at the city, the mammoth Christ the Redeemer statue and the Copacabana coastline. You'll be delivered back to your hotel to spend the rest of the day and evening on your own enjoying enchanting Rio. Another pleasant night in your beachside hotel. (B)

Day 3 TOUR OF CHIRST THE REDEEMER
Today you'll be picked up at your hotel to behold Rio's most famous monument, Christ the Redeemer, up close. Erected in 1931 to commemorate 100 years of independence from Portugal, the dramatic 130-ft sculpture in its breathtaking setting affords visitors on Brazil tours a panoramic view of the capital, Sugar Loaf and across Guanabara Bay to the city of Niteroi. To get there you'll ascend Corcovado Mountain aboard an antique train traveling through Tijuca Forest, a large national park located in the middle of Rio. Spend a final exciting evening on your own and a last relaxing night at your Rio hotel. (B)
