Just short flight from Sao Paulo lands you in Florianopolis, an island off Brazil's southern coast known for its idyllic white-sand beaches, international surfing competitions, and lively nightlife. Our Brazil Multi Sport trip is the perfect way to travel to Brazil and experience the leisure and adventure of this island paradise. To make the most of your time here, an English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel each day to accompany you in your rental car to all destinations. With a different activity planned each day, in just a week you'll experience much of what makes Florianopolis a magnet for sun worshippers and adventure travelers on Brazil tours. You'll go sand boarding in the dunes, whitewater rafting in the mountains, hike lakeshores, snorkel in an area of fascinating wildlife, and ride horses in the countryside. Late afternoons will be free to enjoy the nightlife or the leisurely beach town atmosphere with delectable seafood cuisine. Each evening a nightlife guide will accompany you to find the best restaurants, bars, clubs and/or live music. Of course, you will always be on the VIP list at all locations. To ensure the ultimate relaxation after a hard day of play, your eco-lodge base is located in an unpopulated section of the island, overlooking the sea. The island's geography makes it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts on Brazil tours who enjoy a variety of different recreational pastimes.

Day 1 (Sat) ARRIVE FLORIANOPOLIS

On your arrival at the airport of Florianopolis, the island's colonial gateway city, a driver will pick you up and get you to your hotel, just a five-minute walk to beautiful Campeche Beach. The remainder of the day is yours to get settled in your comfortable suite and relax after a long day’s travel. If you are up for it, head out for your first night on the town!

Day 2 (Sun) HIKE COSTA DA LAGOA

After breakfast, your Brazil travel starts of with meeting your guide in your hotel. Take off in your rental car to the start of today's leisurely one and a half mile hike to the fishing village of Costa da Lagoa along the shore of the Lagoa da Conceição, the island's centrepiece. This undemanding hike travels on mostly flat terrain, affording views of the crystalline water through Atlantic forest. Along the lake, travel through diverse villages for a taste of local island life, along the way stopping at a historical flourmill. At the end of the trail, enjoy a delectable lunch lakeside at a traditional seafood restaurant on the pier. Later in the afternoon you'll return to Canto dos Araçás and your hotel for a free evening and overnight at the charming Vila Tamarindo Eco Lodge. (B)

Day 3 (Mon) WHITEWATER RAFTING CUBATAO RIVER

This morning meet your guide for a twenty-five mile drive to the mountain town of Sto. Amaro da Imperatriz near Tabuleiro State Park. The Park’s gorgeous rivers, waterfalls, and hills are a perfect setting for rafting the Cubatao River of Level II and III rapids. Before launch, have a safety briefing with your guide. After an exciting ride, return to Vila Tamarindo and spend a relaxing night at your hotel or exploring the city. (B)

Day 4 (Tue) PARAGLIDING & SANDBOARDING

After breakfast, you and your guide will head to the nearby dunes to add another day of adventure to your Brazil tours. The Santa Catarina dunes are an idyllic spot for sand boarding, a popular pastime here. After ample time to surf the sand, you will transfer to meet your paragliding guide. Strap on a tandem Paraglider for the ride and views of your life! Depending on wind conditions, enjoy a 20 -50 minute flight with a birds eye view of Florianopolis and the beautiful surrounding beaches. Land just in time for a late lunch and celebrate your flight with a cold cerveza with your guides. Spend the night at leisure or with your guide at the prime weeknight music venues. Day 5 (Wed) HORSEBACK RIDING

This morning, travel outside of Floripa with your guide to explore the road less traveled by horseback. Travel along varied terrain, suitable for riders of all riding abilities and backgrounds. After a full ride, continue your Brazil tour and explore one of the many fine restaurants on the way back to Florianopolis. Spend the night at your hotel. (B)

Day 6 (Thu) HIKE LAGOINHA DO LESTE

After breakfast, you will drive down the coast to the start of today's guided hike: the fishing village of Pântano do Sul, where fishermen outnumber tourists. The two-hour hike takes you through native Atlantic forests into the mountains to reach Lagoinha do Leste, considered the most beautiful area of the island because of its idyllic beach and freshwater lake. You'll relax on the beach before embarking on the return hike. Return to your comfortable accommodations at Vila Tamarindo to prepare to meet your guide for a memorable night out. (B)

Day 7 (Fri) CAMPECHE ISLAND SNORKELING

Travel by boat to spectacular Campeche Island, a tiny landmass off the east coast of Santa Catarina and the best place to snorkel. It is an area populated by sea turtles as well as sea lions; and from June to November, visitors may spot a Southern Right Whale or migrating Magellenic Penguins on their own Brazil tours from their more southerly waters. Spend the afternoon in the water or basking in the sun before traveling back to Floripa. Enjoy one last peaceful night at your hotel or experience one last taste of the Brazilian nightlife. (B)
