After breakfast, you’ll begin authentic Patagonia touring, entering Chile’s premier Torres del Paine National Park. You will travel across the pampas for a short walk along the shores of Grey Lake, turquoise icebergs floating by. Continue toward the pier to board a new yacht to cruise to the impressive source of the bergs: Grey Glacier, the largest glacier in the park. You’ll cruise for about an hour up this iceberg choked lake towards the spectacular wall of Grey Glacier, providing stunning views of Paine Grande and the entire mountain range, as well as a close-up of the Glacier itself. After a picturesque day return to the dock and, if you’re ready for some Patagonia hiking, begin the trek up to a stunning viewpoint of the National Park’s western side. Rising early to pack a lunch, you'll prepare for the 'Up and Over' route across the heart of the park. This beautiful walk through verdant valleys and southern beech forests passes turquoise lakes and hillsides of windswept trees in an isolated part of the park that sees few hikers. With luck, you'll catch the magnificent sight of a condor hovering high above. On the plains, herds of guanaco are often seen. The scenery of today's portion of your Patagonia tour is dominated by the French valley, Paine Horns and eventually the Towers after which the park is named. You’ll continue along the shores of Laguna Verde as the traditional red roofs of our destination: Estancia Lazo. This estancia has been converted to comfortably accommodate visitors while maintaining its historic roots. Its location next to Laguna Verde offers splendid views and an excellent location to watch for wild geese and ducks. (B,L,D)

An epic experience of many Patagonia tours, tackling the steep climb across mountain trails, winding rivers, deep valleys and glacial moraine will afford you spectacular views. Once these steep slopes have been conquered, have lunch under the enormous granite Towers, while watching icebergs drift slowly across glacial pools. Truly an amazing experience, time at the Towers will be remembered as a highlight of this exciting adventure. After a full day of trekking, we will travel to the authentic Estancia Tercera Barranca, a country-styled lodge and guest house with views of the Towers themselves.
