All meals are prepared and enjoyed under the "Galpon" This is a log roof deck with open sides and is the main meeting area of the camp. Meal times are always festive occasions at camp. Guests are welcome to join in and help in meal preparation. The tasty Chilean red wine is always flowing for the pleasure of guests gathered around the hand-made wood table to enjoy meals by candlelight.
Gourmet-quality meals include goose, lasagna made in the Dutch oven, fajitas, cashew stir fry chicken, fresh salads and homemade desserts every night. We are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements. Vegetarians will love the abundance of fresh vegetables that are harvested daily from the garden. Cultural Exchange (or similar)

Adventure Base Camp's land is shared with a wonderful Chilean family, the Diocares. The camp is located within a 5 minute walk from a true, working Chilean homestead. The warm, friendly family has an open invitation for all of the camp's guests to visit them and share a maté in their rustic kitchen. Or you can enjoy a tour of their handmade tools and abundant greenhouse (source of the camp’s delicious fresh produce). They love when guests come visit their home and take in some of the local flavor. Rolando, the senor of the house, is always up to something interesting whether it be making apple cider from their apple grove or driving his Ox cart. He always enjoys sharing his culture with guests. They also make us fresh bread everyday so you can always look forward to warm fresh baked bread in the morning! The Diocares family is more than willing to take care of all your laundry needs for a small fee.
