"I would with out a doubt recommend the team at Southern Explorations. I stumbled upon their web site when researching cruises for Galapagos, being a seasoned traveler I was really only interested in booking the cruise and doing all the other booking/excursions on my own but am now so glad that I did not. I feared being put in a "tour" type situation but our experience was completely the opposite. Everything the "boys" planned for us was top notch, the guides were great people and did everything they could to make our experience personal and memorable, our trip was planned perfectly and there is nothing about it I would have changed.
We were so impressed with the service we got from Southern Explorations that we are considering another South American vacation with them just because they made it so easy.

"Six Canadian friends embarked on an adventure of a lifetime to explore the wonders of Peru and Ecuador. We were challenged and intrigued by the Inca Trail and absolutely enchanted with Machu Picchu. We were both amazed and humbled by the Inca ruins, the Incas knowledge of architecture, astronomy and agriculture. There was a birthday celebration on the Inca trail. A cake was baked for breakfast adorned with icing and candles. It will be hard to beat this party for next years celebration. At every destination we were met with friendly, knowledgeable guides whom we trusted would give us the local custom information. All the guides we met were enthusiastic, proud and extremely knowledgeable about their country. The cuisine in South America exceeded our expectations with its diversity. We enjoyed both the local specialties and the more familiar choices that were readily accessible. The fresh fruits and exotic juices were a real treat. I don't think we will ever forget the wonders of swimming with sea turtles, sea lions, penguins and marine iguanas and have come away with a new respect and understanding of the biodiversity of the Galapagos. To have witnessed the 'boobie dance' was remarkable.
