- Day 1 ARRIVE USHUAIA
Today you’ll fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world in Tierra del Fuego. After getting settled at the hotel, you'll have the opportunity to view the magnificent Beagle Channel and the charming town of Ushuaia.
- Day 2 CERRO PELADO HIKE
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel for today's Patagonia hiking adventure, a moderate to difficult all-day guided trek to the top of Cerro Cortez. The fun begins with a 4 x 4 ride up a quarry to the trailhead. You'll ascend on a steep trail through a sub-Antarctic beech forest, crossing peat bogs. After passing the tree line, you are rewarded with sweeping views of the area. Today's best photo opportunities still await you. Arriving at the crest, you'll find a breathtaking panoramic landscape with the Martial range, the Andorra and Rio Chico valleys as a backdrop. You'll see Ushuaia and its landmark, Mt Olivia of the Andean range. Towards the sea are Chile's Isla Navarino and the legendary Murray Pass leading to Cape Horn. Enjoy lunch in one of the most picturesque settings of the park. After lunch descend back to the quarry where the Land Rover will be waiting to return you to Ushuaia. Overnight at a local hotel. - Day 3 HISTORIC HARBERTON RANCH - MARTILLO ISLAND PENGUIN COLONY – GABLE ISLAND HIKING
- Another unforgettable experience of Patagonia tours, today you explore Tierra del Fuego, the southern portion of Patagonia with its magnificent vistas and a fascinating history. You will depart Ushuaia around 8 AM, cross Rio Lasifashaj by mid-morning, then finish the drive at Estancia Harberton (roughly 1.5 hours of driving). The estancia belongs to the descendants of the first British missionaries to reach the area, Rev. Thomas and Mary Bridges, and was managed for many years by Natalie Goodall, a well-respected naturalist in the area. After a tour of the estancia you'll take a small boat to Martillo Island, the domain of the Magellanic penguin and even a few Gentoo penguins. The unique location of this island (close to where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans merge) attracts a rich variety of sub-aquatic life, making it an ideal spot for bird watching to see such species as petrels, skuas, cormorants, sea gulls and albatross. Next you will stop at Gable Island (the largest in Patagonia's Beagle Channel) for lunch at a picturesque 19th century cabin. After lunch you will hike to the opposite side of the Beagle Channel before returning to Estancia Harberton where you will be transported back to Ushuaia. (B,L)
Canoe Option:
Upon arrival at the Rio Lasifashaj you have the option of taking a two hour inflatable canoe excursion down river into the Beagle Channel to view its prolific wildlife. This is easy paddling in gentle water with a focus on wildlife and taking in the beautiful views in a unique and peaceful way. You’ll finish at the estancia and rejoin the group in time to visit the Martillo Island Penguin Colony and Gable Island.

Due to the country's geography and location, Argentina & Patagonia offers a wide variety of climates. The Argentine mainland is mostly temperate, with seasons reversed from those in the northern hemisphere. The northern areas of Salta and around Iguazú are tropical, while southern Patagonia's weather is often cold and windy and always unpredictable.
Winter (from the end of June to the beginning of October) may be cold with some rain in certain areas of Argentina, while the Northwest enjoys sunny days and warm temperatures.
Summer (from December to March) is hot and sometimes humid in Buenos Aires; warm and dry in the Northwest with intermittent summer rains; and cold but sunny and sometimes windy in Patagonia.

My father and I really loved Luis. He is just a super dependable, humble, smart and kind person. We invited him to dinner with us twice at Los Cerros because we enjoyed his company so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The Hosteria del Fuego in Ushuaia was our best experience. I have never slept so well while on a trip. All accommodations exceeded my expectations, however. - Q: How do I choose an itinerary?A: We offer a variety of pre-planned tours online and we’d love to design a custom trip just for you.
