The M/V Expedition was built in Denmark in 1972, specifically designed for expedition travel, and completely refurbished in 2009. Safe, stable, and fast, she is among the most comfortable and spacious of ships in her class and is ideally suited for exploring the ice wilderness of Antarctica.

The Expedition is manned by a highly experienced, expert crew of 55, and expedition team of 14 (comprised of an expedition leader, assistant expedition leader, zodiac drivers/historians/naturalists/biologists, a resident photographer and a doctor). The ice-strengthened Expedition was designed with safety in mind, and is fully equipped to meet the demands of cruising in polar regions.

Yes! All of our posted itineraries can be considered a starting point and were happy to tailor a trip to your exact desires. There may be some elements of a trip, such as a cruise or all-inclusive lodge stay, that cannot be modified but we can always adjust the tours around those components.
We provide full service tours so in general our trips include all guided activities with professional English-speaking guides, accommodations, transportation, airport transfers, entrance fees and permits, select meals, and pre-departure services.
