Talk to a Travel ExpertYour Patagonia trip starts with your arrival at the Puerto Natales airport where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. (D)
This morning meet your guide for the transfer to the Las Torres trailhead to begin our hike on the Circuit. We will be on the trail for about four hours before reaching our camp for the night, Seron. Enjoy dinner in either the refugio or prepared at the campsite depending on the conditions and logistics. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, hike from Seron to Dickson Valley. We will enter an ancient southern beech forest which takes us into the beautiful Dickson Valley where we will see the Paine River and lake and the towering mountains that surround this remote valley. This afternoon, relax and sample Chilean wine and snacks while enjoying the fantastic Patagonia vistas. Organized camp with facilities at the scenic Dickson campsite, though hot water is not reliable. Enjoy dinner in either the refugio or prepared at the campsite depending on conditions. (B,L,D)
A short, but challenging hike takes you along Los Perros River through a lovely old-growth forest, in the shadow of Indian Head Mountain. Enjoy stunning views of Dickson Lake with its impressive glacier. Camp for the evening just below Los Perros glacier with dinner in the refugio.
Organized campsite with some facilities. Enjoy dinner at the campsite. (B,L,D)
Our most challenging hike is today. We will climb John Gardner pass and with luck see the southern Patagonia Ice Cap laid out in front of us with endless glaciers, mountains and waterfalls in every direction. This is a truly special place in Patagonia that sees very few visitors. In the afternoon we will descend down and near the face of Grey Glacier. Arrive and camp for the night. (B,L,D)
In the morning wait to board the Grey III. The two-hour boat trip affords spectacular views of the blue glacier face as well as Paine Grande and surrounding mountains as it navigate around floating glacial icebergs. On arrival at Grey Beach you’ll transfer to the lodge of your choice. Take the evening to get settled in your room and learn more about the myriad activities available to explore this breathtaking area of Southern Patagonia. (B,L,D)
Spend these days touring Torres del Paine National Park and nearby areas of interest. Select from a number of Patagonia full and half day adventures, each lead by a knowledgeable bilingual guide. Hike up to the base of the giant Towers of Paine, horseback ride through the Enchanted and Ascencio Valleys, trek around the brilliant blue Lake Nordenskjold, visit the archeological sites, or enjoy any number of other activities for any activity level and interest. After full days exploring the area, return each evening to your comfortable accommodations. (B,L,D)
After a last restful night, meet your driver to transfer to Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, Chile or El Calafate, Argentina where you will continue on to your next destination or begin your travels back home. (B)
