Each day, guests may choose from a variety of morning, afternoon and evening rainforest excursions, hike through an extensive trail system on easy or challenging routes, swim and fish in a nearby lake, or relax in a hammock. Activities begin early at La Selva when wildlife are on the move or gathered at certain locations to feed or drink. During the heat of the day, after lunch until late afternoon is unscheduled, giving visitors time to relax or be pampered in the spa. Following a leisurely dinner, guests may enjoy an after-dark excursion into the rainforest in search of nocturnal wildlife.
