TALK TO A TRAVEL EXPERTYour guide will meet you at your Santiago hotel this morning to begin your tour. You will drive south along the foothills of the Andes and head towards the Santa Rita Winery. One of the valleys oldest wineries, Santa Rita was founded in 1880 and is one of the most popular Chilean wines on the international market. Featuring a strong lineup of exceptional wines including the ultra-premium Pehuen Carménère, which garnered 91 points from Wine Spectator, Santa Rita cultivates century old wines and utilizes modern techniques to produce true enological masterpieces. Once you have reached the vineyard, you will be escorted around the property and be shown the different zones for the cultivation of the different types of grapes, including some of the oldest vines on the property. While enjoying a tasting of their premium lines you will have the opportunity to explore the Bodegas and discover their techniques to create the best wines possible. One of the highlights of the tour will be the winery’s Andean Museum, home to over 1,800 pieces of pre-Columbian art. The museum features collections from the different cultures of Chile including Easter Island, Arica, San Pedro, Diaguita, and Mapuche cultures. Your transportation will have you back in Santiago in time for lunch or dinner, and can provide you with a recommendation on what to do for the rest of the day.
