Trip Extension Overview
This three-day Peru tour extension pairs one of the world’s most amazing manmade wonders with a visit to a wildlife sanctuary prolific with sea birds and marine life. Outside the desert town of Ica, just 280 miles south of Lima via the Pan-American Highway, lie the Nazca Lines, mammoth earth drawings presumed to be the work of the pre-Inca Nazca culture. You’ll be taken on an observational flight over the desert to see these designs that have long baffled archeologists and historians. The next day, by boat, explore by boat Bellestas Island and the peninsula of the Paracas National Reserve that protects the country’s coastal wildlife.
