There are some fun and quirky roadside Equator attractions on Equador tours

Of all there is to see on an Ecuador vacation, the country’s most visited site is the Mitad del Mundo. The monument commemorates the start and the accomplishment of the French Royal Academy of Science-sponsored travel to Ecuador to measure the equator over two centuries ago. First erected in 1936 on the bicentennial of the mission, the monument is located near the town of San Antonio Pichincha, a few miles north of Quito, making it a convenient day-trip for international visitors on Ecuador tours with time to spare in the capital.
