2017 New Trips to South AmericaWe try to keep one step ahead of our passengers, offering trips to destinations before they become too popular and unique itineraries to places that already are. As we discover new experiences we think our passengers will enjoy, we modify our existing itineraries. Here’s a sampling of what’s new or changed for 2017:
ARGENTINA keeps gaining popularity and we keep adding trips to more of its regions. One of our recent additions is the 8-day Discover Salta tour that visits Argentina’s best-preserved colonial city and the colorful canyons that surround it.
BRAZIL is one of our newest destinations. All of our tours include a few days in dazzling Rio de Janeiro. Picking the rest depends on which of its magnificent beaches and water ways you want to enjoy. Our 9-day Rio, Costa Verde and Iguazu trip fits in placid Paraty and thundering Iguazu Falls. The 13-day Water Paradises of Brazil visits the Costa Verde, the colossal Pantanal wetland, home to big, colorful birds and rare mammals, plus Bonito where the river snorkeling is divine. Our 12-day Northern Beaches of Brazil trip travels to a scenic, little visited region to 4-wheel or windsurf across snow white dunes, staying in culturally interesting beach towns along the way.
THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS: With so many fascinating sights, some travelers find it impossible to choose which South American country to visit. For them, we keep adding options. Our Buenos Aires, Iguazu and Rio trip comprises nine days of top hits, two of the continent’s most exciting cities along with its most breathtaking waterfalls. Our new 9-day Wine and Sun trip combines Chile’s photogenic Atacama desert of natural wonders with time sampling the manmade pleasures of Argentina’s Mendoza wine region.
COLOMBIA hasn’t yet regained the popularity it once had as a top travel destination, so you can still visit this extraordinary country without the crowds. Our 6-day Cartagena and Tayrona National Park trip combines visits to two of its most fascinating and well-preserved colonial cities, Bogota and Cartagena, with an opportunity to hike and snorkel in two of Colombia’s most beautiful national parks.
COSTA RICA is one of the few destinations where we offer self-guided tours. Our 8-day Classic Fly and Drive trip lets you set your own pace and gets you to two of the country’s most popular national parks, offering hikes on the rainforest floor and in the treetops plus plenty of beach time.
PANAMA is the place If you are looking for a family vacation as educational as it is fun and relaxing for the whole clan. On our 8-day Panama Family Adventure, you’ll be wowed by the canal, tour high up in the tree canopy, explore the wildlife rich rainforest and spend time at an all-inclusive resort with white sand beaches and several swimming pools.
PERU trips to Machu Picchu are one of our most popular destinations. Three of our more recent tour additions are a 5-day Machu Picchu Express trip for travelers who want to fit an additional destination into their vacation or only have a week to spend in Peru. Our 9-day Peru Day-hiker tour includes unique day hikes and relaxing accommodations along roads less traveled. We now offer a 12-day Luxury Peru itinerary that features private guided tours, exceptional cuisine and top of the line lodgings.
